Dr Jing Li's Lab

I'm currently a Ph.D student of five years in bioinformatics at SJTU. My undergraduate study is in Tongji University and it is really a happy four years. It made me know I was more interested in bioinformatics and trained me lots of learning skills in the field. In fact, the fourth year was spent in SJTU, where I got started my study in metagenomics.

Although I'm a boy, I'm not so enthusiastic in sports, especially for basketball and football. That's why freinds often call me a lazy boy. In fact, I don't like these sports with interaction, and if you want running or hiking, I could a partner. My favorite is science fiction and horror movie, Terminator, Biohazard and so on. And I also have a interest in the background story of some conputer games, such as Nier series and the Dark Soul. They really describe a fantastic world which are totally different from ours.

I'm interested in the analysis of omics data in deep sea microbiology. Now I major in metagenomics, trying to analysis what they are and what they do. And it can also extract some certain genomes from the whole sequencing data of samples. And I will also learn metatranscriptome and metaproteomics.
