Introduction

I'm currently a M.S. student in bioinformatics at SJTU. Back in my undergraduate study, it once bothered me to learn so many subjects like biology, chemistry, mathematics and computer science. But fortunately, as I've got the hang of it, I gradually indulge myself in the entrancing part of this interdiscipline subject. The blend of various subjects makes it more interesting and challenging, and it's easier for new ideas to sparkle.

I have lots of hobbies. Recently, I've got a great passion for cooking. The idea of molecular gastronomy is intriguing as well as scientific. I believe that a tiny little change in the recipe can lead to a different taste, and I enjoy cooking the "same" meal in different ways. The time I spend in kitchen refreshes me, and it's such a delight to cook for my family and friends. I'm also a huge fan of music. With notes and rhythm, music gains powerful strength to hit the heart. I love travelling. I love those places with history and marvellous culture such as Lübeck, where I spent only one night but it has left an indelible impression on me. Right now Florence is on top of my list.

Education

  • 2011-         M.S.    Bioinformatics    Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China
  • 2007-2011  B.S.    Bioinformatics    Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China
  • My Research Interests

I'm interested in the analysis of omics data in cancer using models based on modules, which involves subtle but indispensable changes among genes/proteins. Besides, I've developed an interest in clinical trials lately, though I haven't done much research yet.
