Department of Bioinformatics & Biostatistics

Bioinformatics & Biostatistics concerns the development of computational methods for the design and analysis of studies in modern life science research.

We are trying to:

  • Bring modern computational methods to a wide spectrum of modern biological problems
  • Advance knowledge in bioinformatics & biostatistics through educational programs for students and researchers
  • Provide leadership and outstanding scholarship in research, teaching, and services

Our graduate program will provide:

  • Data mining approaches for deciphering transcriptional regulatory systems;
  • Statistical methods for decoding the underlying mechanisms of complex diseases;
  • State-of-the-art techniques for structure-based drug design
